Each of our counselors holds a doctorate in Counseling Education from Texas Southern University. They are committed to supporting individuals, organizations, and communities in order to promote intentional and sustainable growth.
Dr. Shayn Clay, is a licensed and experienced counselor dedicated to supporting individuals in their journey towards personal growth, healing, and well-being. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, she strives to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their challenges, gain insights, and develop effective strategies for positive change. With 20 years of experience in the field, she has had the privilege of working with diverse populations in the public school system and addressing a wide range of concerns. Her professional background has equipped her with a deep understanding of the complexities of the human experience and the therapeutic techniques necessary for facilitating meaningful change.
Dr. Shawn Hysten-Williams, is an experienced licensed professional counselor with almost two decades of experience in goal-focused approaches such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has also served as a school administrator in the private school sector for 20 years. She has specialized experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Dr. Hysten-Williams primarily uses Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her approach to therapy is beneficial and embraces all individuals, including those who may find it difficult to navigate life’s challenges.
